"European Pellet Conference 2012"

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the "European Pellet Conference 2012" which will be held on 29 February - 1 March 2012 in Wels/Austria in the frame of the next World Sustainable Energy Days!

With more than 600 participants every year, the European Pellet Conferences in Wels have become the largest annual pellet event in the world!

The European Pellet Conference 2012 will offer: 

·      high-level presentations on the latest policy and technology trends, potentials, markets, innovation, sustainability, etc.  

·      the "Pellet Academy" with in-depth information and interactive training on technologies, standards, market development, etc.  

·      the "World Pellet Business Forum": a market place for product and service innovation, R & D results, business models, finance, inspirational case studies, etc.

·      country workshops with updates and outlook on different European and global pellet markets 

·      technical site-visit on wood pellets and chips (fuel, equipment, exemplary installations) 

·      WSED next! - an event for senior students and young researchers, covering biomass and energy efficiency in buildings  

·      the Energiesparmesse - a "pellet trade show": leading trade show on renewable energy and energy efficiency with annually 100,000 visitors and more than 100 pellet-related exhibitors 

·      the meeting place for the global pellet business and research community

The conference will be organised in the framework of the annual "World Sustainable Energy Days" conference by the O.Ö. Energiesparverband, the energy agency of Upper Austria.  
Upper Austria is an ideal location for such a conference: more than 25 % of all biomass boilers sold in the EU are manufactured by Upper Austria's boiler industry, and pellet heating systems have become a standard solution.

Additionally, the World Sustainable Energy Days will offer a number of other high-profile events, including the conference "Biomass Partnerships", the conference "Energy Efficiency Watch: Nearly Zero Energy Buildings" as well as a "Poster Presentation" and technical site-visits. In the last 13 years, the annual World Sustainable Energy Days conference attracted more than 10,000 decision makers and experts from 99 countries!

Simultaneous interpretation into German and Italian will be provided.  

The conference fees are 180 Euro for the European Pellet Conference (29 Feb. - 01 March), 260 Euro for the European Pellet Conference and the site-visit (28 Feb. - 01 March), 280 Euro (80 Euro for students) for all WSED conferences (29 Feb. - 02 March), 360 Euro (100 Euro for students) for all WSED and the site-visit (28 Feb. - 02 March), all plus 10 % VAT.
